Daily Drawdown: 4% From initial starting Balance (Fix doesn’t trail)

If you have a 100k account it will always be 4% of 100k which is 4000$, you are not allowed to lose more than 4000$ on any given day after 5 PM EST.

Max Drawdown: 6% Trailing and base of Highest Water Mark Closing Trade.


Daily Drawdown remains at 4%. The max drawdown will remain at 6% trailing your Highest Watermark Closing Trade Made. Here is where the change comes into place. If your account reaches 6% of your starting balance your trailing Drawdown will lock in at your starting balance and will stop trailing.

This means that you are no longer allowed to hit the initial starting balance after you reach 6% profit otherwise the account will be breached.

Example 1: You start with a 100k account. Your Daily drawdown is 4% and your Max Trailing is 6%. Your Daily drawdown level is $96,000 and your Max trailing is $94,000. Let’s say you make $8,000 profit. Once your account has made over 6% of the starting balance your Trailing now locks in at $100k or $100,000. It no longer trails. Drawdown includes profits and losses, swap fees and commissions and floating positions.

Example 2: You start with a 100k account. Your Daily drawdown remains at 4% of the purchase starting balance (FIX) and your Max Trailing is 6%. Your Daily drawdown level is $96,000 and your Max Trailing is $94,000. Let’s say you make $5,000 profit. This puts your account at $105,000. You are no longer allowed to lose more than 6% of your Highest Water Mark Balance regardless if it is the same day or not.
If you have 105,000 Highest Water mark balance you shouldn’t go below – USD 6300(6%) at any point in time. Daily drawdown will reset each Day at 5 PM EST. Max Trailing will always be from the Highest recorded balance unless you achieve 6% from your starting balance.
